Oh boy. Where do I even begin? This wedding means so much to me! My best friend of 20 years got married to the love of her life. Taylor and Evan’s colorful Alabama wedding was the most perfect day. So much thought and details went into this day and I am so honored I got to stand by Taylor’s side as her maid of honor. I had the pleasure of bringing on some amazing friends to help me capture the day as I stood by Taylor. So these photos are not taken by me, but edited by me. I helped Taylor from the beginning plan this wedding so editing the photos was just the cherry on top. (Major shoutout to Allie & Jinny!!!)
The day started off slow and quiet, with all the girls rolling in and sipping coffee and snacking on donuts. We all hung out together, listened to music and started doing little tasks around the venue. I got my makeup done first so I could get it out of the way and tried not to get too sweaty the rest of the morning and mess it up, LOL.
After a few hours, the girlies were ready and Taylor was ready for her first look with her dad. Taylor did three first looks. One with her dad, one with her step-dad and brother and one with Evan. All three were so sweet. After Taylor and Evan’s precious first look, we did a few minutes of portraits of them. It was so perfect. We got all the big group photos done after portraits, both wedding party and family photos. Then it was time for ceremony!
Obviously, I am biased, also because I was 9 months pregnant, but this was such an emotional ceremony. It was so sweet. The light was shining so perfectly through the trees during the ceremony. Directly after the ceremony, it was the perfect time for sunset photos. The light was PERFECT.
Taylor and Evan chose to have a private dinner inside so they had a chance to breathe. The caterers served breakfast food including waffles, grits, fruit, bacon and a coffee bar — it was sooooo good.
Party time started right after dinner. Dancing did not stop one bit. All of Taylor and Evan’s friends from college were there and everyone danced together. One of my favorite details of Taylor and Evan’s day was the final goodbye, their sendoff. They had colorful streamers that ended up being the coolest thing ever. They were so much better and BIGGER than we thought! The perfect goodbye!
