THIS DAY!

Miranda and Jack are the epitome of cool. So much so, they are probably tired of me saying it. So effortless. Their Long Island wedding took place in Jack’s parents backyard on the water. It was so beautiful! They said so much work went into getting everything ready for the wedding day. Three months prior, it looked completely different. Miranda DIYed so much of this day. As you look at the photos, make sure to find the sailboat seating chart, my personal favorite DIY project! I love it so much when my couples care about the tiny details.

The day was truly so much fun. After their Catholic ceremony, we went to a pond to do family portraits and wedding party photos. After we finished the group photos, we were able to take some time to do couple portraits, which were my favorites of the day. The light was so beautiful here. We headed to Jack’s parents house where cocktail hour was in full swing. A gorgeous, colorful display of food were laid out by the caterer. Guests mingled around the pool while Miranda and Jack made their rounds. Once the reception started, the real party began. Miranda and Jack made their grand entrance and everyone hurried to the dance floor — it was awesome. The rest of the night went just like that — on the dance floor!

This wedding was my last travel wedding before maternity leave. I photographed this wedding 8 months pregnant and gave birth 4 1/2 weeks later! It was a doozy to get through physically but I am so proud of myself for doing it! Major shoutout to my husband for accompanying me and for shooting their wedding video on Super 8! You can view that here!
